Rate M Performance was founded in 2014 by Marcus D., a BMW enthusiast frustrated with generic workshops that lacked BMW-specific knowledge.
How we started
Starting in a small workshop in Sydney, we built our reputation one car at a time — with honest advice, quality workmanship and genuine passion for the Ultimate Driving Machine.
We don't service every car under the sun — we've chosen to master one brand. BMW is all we do, which means every technician on our floor lives and breathes the Ultimate Driving Machine.
Today, Rate M is one of Sydney's most trusted BMW specialist workshops. We've grown our team, expanded our facility and added in-house dyno capabilities — but our core philosophy hasn't changed: BMW is all we do, and we do it better than anyone.

Liam handles all suspension, alignment and brake work at Rate M. With a background in motorsport, he knows exactly how to set up a BMW to handle perfectly.
